Who Said That?!?!?!?
"The Republican Party is in imminent peril of losing the country."
"Under Bush II, social spending has exploded to levels LBJ might envy...."
"Bill Clinton is starting to look like Barry Goldwater."
"Working America and the middle class have been sacrificed on the high altar of the Republican Moloch of Free Trade."
"Thus, in March, 2003, Bush, in perhaps the greatest strategic blunder in U.S. history, invaded an Arab nation that had not attacked us, did not want war with us, and did not threaten us—to strip it of weapons we now know it did not have."
"Democratic imperialism is still imperialism. To Arab and Islamic peoples, whether the Crusaders come in the name of God or in the name of democracy, they are still Crusaders."
Answer: Republican-- Pat Buchanan!

Who cares what Pat Buchanan or Diego Maradona think? Or Michael Moore or Alec Baldwin or the Dixie Chicks? None of these people have any credibility with American voters.
What do Edwards, Kerry, Clinton, Clark or Gore think? For what do they stand? And it MUST be something more than "Bush is bad."

Pat's been writing some interesting stuff at www.lewrockwell.com. He's become a more reasonable human being in the past few years.

Bob,
When you were listing all the people who don't have credibility with American voters, you forgot to mention George W. Bush.

Here's a link to Buchanan's articles of late. Judge for yourself if he is reasonable or not.

TBM,
I don't disagree with you. The President's approval ratings clearly point to a lack of credibility. All I'm saying is that the Democrats need to crystallize their own message and stick to it. If their main platform continues to be "Bush is bad" they WILL lose the presidential election in 2008. And people like Michael Moore cannot be the ones that are leading the march. Someone (Republican or Democrat) needs to step forward an be a leader (not just a critic). I don't see that from either party.

Bob,
I cannot argue with what you say. Leadership requires courage. These days, too many so-called "leaders" don't have the courage to stand up for their own beliefs. And the ones that do, are considered to be out of the mainstream.
But one thing I know is-- the GOP Party, as it stands these days, is a party of utter corruption. It also has serious disdain for civil liberties.
